1998-09 RESOLUTION NO. 98-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA TO
REQUEST AUTHORIZATION TO FILE A CLAIM
FOR ARTICLE 3 FUNDS RELATED TO THE
PEDESTRIAN AND BIKE LANE PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the City of Grand Terrace was awarded a$369,472 transportation
grant from the San Bernardino Association of Governments in December of 1995 which
was used to construct a Class II bike lane and completion of that project was accepted
and filed by the City Council on March 12th, 1998; and
WHEREAS, grant funding has been made available to local jurisdictions for the
purpose of implementing programs which benefit air quality through the design,
improvement or construction of commuter facilities which utilize alternative
transportation such as bike lanes;
NOW, THEREFORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF GRAND
TERRACE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: City staff is hereby
authorized to file a claim with the San Bernardino Association of Governments for
reimbursement of the construction of the pedestrian and bike lane project. The claim
shall be for: a) reimbursement through Transportation Development Act Article 3 grant
award in the amount of$369,472.00 and;b)through a separate claim, Article 3 handicap
ramp construction funds for$2,255.00.
