A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE,
CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH THE NEW
REFUSE RATE FOR SINGLE-FAMILY
COLLECTION
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace has entered into a contract with
BFI/Loma Linda Disposal to provide refuse services; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a new refuse rate for standard single-
family collection services needs to be re-established:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. That the refuse rate for standard single*family collection shall be set
at $13.03 per month, which is comprised of $8.17 for the base service rate and
$4.86 for the San Bernardino County Tipping Fee based upon the generation of 1.6
tons of refuse per unit per year. A discount of 10% of the refuse portion of the rate
shall apply to Senior Citizens 60 years of age or older. The Senior discount rate will
be set at $11.73 per month.
Section 2. The rates shall be effective only at such time that single-family
collection and recycling services are provided.
Section 3. The next base service rate CPI adjustment will be July 1992 and
each July thereafter.
