Designed to mitigate pavement degradation and uphold street structural integrity. Aims to ensure a smooth surface for all transportation modes and minimize negative visual impacts. LIMITATIONS ON EXCAVATION FOR RECENTLY CONSTRUCTED STREETS: o Post -Construction Moratorium: No excavation on pavement surface for five (5) years from completion or recordation of a notice of completion. o Exception for slurry-sealed streets: Three (3) years moratorium unless the applicant covers the cost of resurfacing with a minimum two-inch-thick asphaltic concrete cap. o Resurfacing must span 50 feet on either side of the proposed excavation on a longitudinal basis from the centerline of the street as specified by the city engineer.
