RESOLUTION NO. 90-28
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT
PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS ARE UNNECESSARY
FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES
AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF SAID
STREETS
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Grand Terrace ,
having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California , and having held a public hearing as provided
therein , hereby finds, from all evidence submitted that the
streets described in this resolution are unnecessary for present
or prospective purposes and that the public interest and
convenience require the closing of said streets.
WHEREAS , The City Council hereby orders the vacation of
portions of streets described as follows in attached Exhibit "A" .
WHEREAS, In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for vacation of the streets described in Exhibit "A" , the
City of Grand Terrace reserves and excepts from the vacation the
permanent easement and right at any time , or , from time to time ,
to construct, maintain , operate , replace , remove , and renew
sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in ,
upon , over , and across any street or part thereof proposed to be
vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals
thereof, or otherwise , to construct, maintain , operate , replace ,
remove , renew, and enlarge lines of pipe , conduits, cables ,
wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and
fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and
telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or
transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products,
ammonia , water , and incidental purposes, including access and
right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood
growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in ,
upon , and over the street proposed to be vacated .

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Grand Terrace hereby ordains that the vacation of the
streets described herein is required by public interest,
convenience , safety, and welfare .
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 9th day of August
1990.

That portion of that certain parcel conveyed as Grant of Easement (Road) by
Bill G. Darwin and Bonnie M. Darwin, husband and wife as joint tenants to
County of San Bernardino, recorded January II , 1979, in Book 9598, Page
1606, Official Records of said County described as follows :
Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of that certain parcel conveyed
to Steohen L . Richards and Ruth D. Richards as per deed recorded March 3,
1967 i,n Book 6781', Page 503 Official Records, and the northerly line of
Barton Road, as said line was established by the Grant of Easement (Road)
recorded in Book 9598, Page 1606 referred to above;
Thence easterly along the northerly line of Barton Road 95.70 feet to
beginning of curve, concave northwesterly, having a radius of 20 feet, and
the central angle of 970 05' ; thence easterly and northerly along , said
curve 33.89 feet to a point on the westerly line of Canal Street; thence
southerly along the southerly prolongation of said westerly -line of Canal
Street, 2 .02 feet to beginning of a curve, concave northwesterly, having a
radius of 20 feet, and central angle of 970 05' ;
Thence southerly and westerly along said curve a distance of 33.89 feet to
