1980-38 RESOLUTION NO. 80-38
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING THE SECOND
CYCLE 1980 GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, .Section 65860 of the California Government. Code requires
that zoning and the General Plan be consistent; and
WHEREAS, Section 65361 of the California Government Code requires
that any mandatory element of a general plan shall not. be amended more
frequently than three C31 times during any calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace on November
1 , 1979, did establish three (31 hearing cycles per year for the review of
requested Plan Amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grand Terrace Planning Commission has
conducted a legally notified Public Hearing during which the project
comprising a Second Cycle 1980 Amendment to the City General Plan was
presented, studies and testimony receeved; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace ha-s.-'al'so = _
conducted a legally notified Public Hearing-.during which the project com
prising the Second Cycle 1980 Amendment to the City General Plan was•,presentc'
studies and testimony received; and
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Environmental Review Board-
Officer found that the project would have no significant effect on the
environment:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council , having
reviewed various alternatives, the findings of the Environmental Review
Board Officer, the correspondence received, the testimony given at the
hearing, hereby takes the following action: .
PROPOSAL: Amend General Plan from Res 2-4 du/ac
to Res 9+ du/ac on 6.32 acs.
LOCATION: Extending between Mt. Vernon Avenue & Gage
Canal , approx. 410` S/o Grand Terrace Rd.

Section 1 . That the General Plan Land Use Map be amended from
Residential 2-4 dwelling units per acre to Residential 9+ dwelling units
per acre on 6.32 acres extending between Mt. Vernon Avenue and Gage Canal ,
approximately 410 ft. south of Grand Avenue, subject to the conditions
as listed in the Geological Study; adopt the Negative Declaration; and
instruct the City Clerk to file Notice of Determination.
Section 2. First read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on the 2nd day of October , 1980, and finally adopted
at a regular meeting of said City Council on the 16th day of October—,
1980.
