1981-14 RESOLUTION NO. 81 -14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF _
GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A BOUND-
ARY FOR PORTIONS OF MT. VERNON AVENUE AND GRAND
TERRACE ROAD AND DEDICATING THE SAME FOR STREET
AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a Quitclaim Deed to the City of Grand Terrace from the
County of San Bernardino for the fee interest in the existing alignment
of Mt. Vernon Avenue and Grand Terrace Road has been executed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Grand Terrace as follows:
SECTION 1 . That the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace
hereby establish a right-of-way boundary for those portions of Mt. Vernon
Avenue and Grand Terrace Road as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace
hereby dedicates and declares, for street and highway purposes , all of the
above described portions of said Mt. Vernon Avenue and Grand Terrace Road.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Grand Terrace
shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded in the
Office of the County Recorder of the County of San Bernardino.

PARCEL NO. 1 (MT. VERNON AVENUE)
All that portion of Lot 1, Vista Grande Tract, as per plat recorded
in Book 17 of Maps, Page 10, records of San Bernardino County, State of
California, together with that portion of existing Grand Terrace Road
(formerly GRAND AVENUE) 40.00 feet wide, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 63, Tract No. 5712,
as per plat recorded in Book 77 of Maps, Pages 27 and 28, records of said
County, said corner also being a point on a non-tangent curve concave to
the Southeast and having a radius of 906.00 feet (a radial line of said
curve through said point bears North 720 43' 21" West) ; thence Northeasterly
along said curve, through a central angle of 170 54' 44", an arc distance of
283.24 feet to a point of compound curve concave to the Southeast (a radial
line of said curve through said point bears North 540 48' 37" West) ; thence
Northeasterly along said curve, through a central angle of 120 10` 19", an
arc distance of 191.45 feet; thence tangent to said curve North 470 21' 42"
East, a distance of 28.34 feet to a point in the centerline of said. existing
Grand Terrace Road, thence South 84° 06' 35" West, along said centerline a
distance of 141.02 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve concave to the
Southeast and having a radius of 989.19 feet (a radial line of said curve
through said point bears North 470 32' 52" West) ; thence Southwesterly along
said curve, through a central angle- of 260 52' 44", an arc distance of 464.05
feet to a point in the Westerly prolongation of the North line of said Tract
No. 5712; thence North 890 32' 21" East, along said Westerly prolongation, a
distance of 91.69 feet, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
PARCEL NO. 2 (GRAND TERRACE ROAD)
All that portion of Lot 1, Vista Grande Tract, as per plat recorded in
Book 17 of Maps, Page 10, records of San Bernardino County, State of California,
together with those portions of existing Grand Terrace Road, (formerly GRAND
AVENUE) , 40.00 feet wide and Mt. Vernon Avenue, (formerly La Loma Avenue) ,
66.00 feet wide, lying within a strip of land 60.00 feet wide, being 30.00
feet on each side of the following described centerline:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the centerlines of Grand Terrace Road,
(formerly GRAND AVENUE) , 40.00 feet wide, and VISTA GRANDE WAY, 40.00 feet
wide, as shown on said Tract map; thence South 00 35' 17" East along the West
line of Lot 17, of said Vista Grande Tract, a distance of 12.45 feet to a point
on a non-tangent curve concave to the Southeast and having a radius of 1,220.00
feet °(a radial line of said curve bears North 18 43' 22" West) said point also
being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence Southwesterly along said curve,
through a central angle of 70 24' 51", an arc distance of 157.87 -feet; thence
tangent to said curve South 630 51' 47" West, a distance of 426.20 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave to the North and having a radius of
_ 220.00 feet; thence Northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of
610 19' 18", an arc distance of 235.46 feet; thence tangent to said curve
North 540 48' 55" West, a distance of 121.86 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve concave to the Southwest and having a radius of 231.52 feet;

thence Northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 430
33' 39", an arc distance of 176.02 feet to the Westerly right of way
line of said Mt. Vernon Avenue, being the TERMINUS of said centerline.
NOTE: The side line of said strip shall be prolonged or shortened so as
to begin on the Northerly prolongation of the Westerly line of said MT.
VERNON AVENUE and TERMINATE on the Northerly prolongation of the Westerly
line of said Lot 17.
PARCEL NO. 2-a
A triangular shaped parcel of land bounded as follows:
On the Southwest by the North line of Parcel 2; on the Northwest by
the Easterly line of Parcel 1; and on the Northeast by the arc of a curve
concave to the Northeast and having a radius of 20.00 feet, said curve
being tangent to the North line of said Parcel 2 and tangent to the Easterly
line of said Parcel 1.
PARCEL NO. 2-b
A triangular shaped parcel of land bounded as follows:
On the Northeast by the South line of Parcel 2; on the Northwest by the
Easterly line of Parcel 1; and on the South by the arc of a curve concave to
the South and having a radius of 20.00 feet, said curve being tangent to the
South line of said Parcel 2 and tangent to the Easterly line of said Parcel
1.
PARCEL NO. 2-c
A triangular shaped parcel of land bounded as follows:
On the Northeast by the South line of Parcel 2; on the Southeast by the
Westerly line of Parcel 1; and on the Southwest by the arc of a curve concave
to the Southwest and having a radius of 20.00 feet, said curve being tangent
to the South line of said Parcel 2 and tangent to the Westerly line of said
