1981-36 RESOLUTION NO. 81-36
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAND TERRACE DECLARING ANY SALARY ADJUSTMENTS
FOR FY 1981=82"SHALL BE EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1981.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that salaries be competitive
with the labor market in which the City of Grand Terrace competes ; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City obtain data to document
the salary structures of said competing employers , including comparable
cities and other public agencies;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Grand Terrace
does hereby resolve, determine, and order as follows :
SECTION 1. That the City Staff is hereby directed .to obtain
comparative salary data from those employers with which the City of Grand
Terrace must compete in the labor market.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby directed to include
an estimated amount in the FY 1981-82 Budget for salary adjustments.
SECTION 3. That at such time as the salary comparison review
is completed, the City Council shall consider appropriate salary adjust-
ments , based upon this comparative data; and that said salary adj,ustments
shall -be effective retroactively, if necessary, to July 1, 1981.
SECTION 4. That the City Manager, or his delegate, is hereby
authorized and directed to meet and confer with employees ' representa-
tives, if necessary, in arriving at salaries and working conditions to
be recommended to the City Council .
