1989-09 RESOLUTION NO. 89-09 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, AMMENDING CUP-88-14, CONDITION #4 TO CHANGE THE SUMMER HOURS OF OPERATION FOR DOMTAR GYPSUM LOCATED AT 21516 MAIN STREET WHEREAS, the Applicant, Domtar Gypsum, has applied for an amendment to CUP-88-14, condition #4, (Exhibit A) the hours of operation for the summer ending September 1, 1989 at 21516 Main Street; and WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was held by the Planning Commission on July 5, 1989, where it approved the amendment to CUP-88-14 condition #4, herein refered to as'CUP-88-14R1; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Grand Terrace, California approved the change of summer hours only, for Domtar Gypsum from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. for the period ending September 1, 1989. A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF GRAND TERRACE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CUP-88-14 ALLOWING DOMTAR GYPSUM, INC. TO OPERATE AT 21516 MAIN STREET IN AN M-2 ZONE WHEREAS, the Applicant, Domtar Gypsum, Inc. , applied for a conditional use permit to allow operation of a warehousing facility within a M-2 zone located at 21516 Main Street; and WHEREAS, the proposed use is a permitted use in a M-2 zone with a conditional use permit; and WHEREAS, this project is categorically (1E) exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, a properly noticed public hearing was held before this body on December 5, 1988 ; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of -� the City of Grand Terrace, California, that the following findings have been made: 1. The proposed use will not be detrimental to the general health, safety, morals, comfort or general welfare of the persons residing or working within the neighborhood of the proposed use or within the City. The proposed use is a warehousing and distribution facility. There will be no processing a the materials at this site. Therefore, it is determined that the proposed use as conditioned below will not be detrimental to the surrounding industrial users or to the residential units in the vicinity. 2 . The proposed use will not be injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood or within the City. The occupation of this site subject to the conditions listed below will help promote further reuse of the area which is currently plagued . by several vacant light industrial facilities for which the area is zoned. Additionally, for the reason stated in -response to -Item I, above, it is determined that the proposed use will not be injurious to the residential units located across Main Street. 3 . The proposed use will be consistent with the latest adopted General Plan. The current General Plan designates this property as Light Industrial. ATTACHMENT A 1 i BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT CUP-88-13 shall be conditioned as follows: +1. All conditions as recommended by the Forestry and Fire Warden Department in their Memorandum dated November 23 , 1988, and subsequently revised November 30, 1988, attached as Exhibit A; 2 . All conditions as recommended by the Department of Engineering and Building and Safety in their Memorandum dated November 29, 1988, attached as Exhibit B; 3 . All conditions of approval required for SA-88-15; and 4 . Hours of operation shall be limited to 7: 00 A.M. to 6: 00 P.,M. , Monday through Saturday. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Grand Terrace, California, at a reqular meeting held on the 5th day of December, 1988.
