JUNE 12, 2018 MINUTES-- REGULAR MEETING

Item 1: The meeting was called to order at 5:09 p.m. by Chairman Tickner.
Item 2a: The meeting Agenda for June 12, 2018 was approved.
Item 2b: The minutes for the March 6, 2018 meeting were approved.
Item 2c: Recap of Community Day Event
• Chairman Tickner gave a summary regarding the Community Day Event. About
12 residents signed up with interest to become CERT trained in September. San
Bernardino County OES will assist with the training, training dates for September
should be scheduled after Labor Day, three consecutive days (Friday evening,
Saturday and Sunday).
Item 2d: CERT Organization
• Chairman Tickner would like to invite the volunteers who took the March CERT
training classes to the next Volunteer EOC meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July
17, 2018. Initially, CERT meetings should be scheduled every other month and
then quarterly. The CERT meeting time needs to be determined and a time poll
was recommended to check volunteer's availability,
• Chairman Tickner suggested that previous CERT volunteers be invited to the
next meeting. Committee member Bennett mentioned she knows two to four
people who are interested in CERT training.
• Chairman Tickner provided information regarding Redlands CERT training during
the month of July.
• Planner Aguirre distributed copies of Resolution No. 2008-03 establishing CERT
and Chairman Tickner went over the five positions of CERT organization
(Commander, Deputy Commander, Secretary, Treasurer and Trainer Officer).
Chairman Tickner stated CERT activities should include basic training, Red
Cross training, CPR, and outreach information for residents.

Item 2e: Trailer and Shed Inventory
• No trailer inventory dates where scheduled.
• Chairman Tickner would like to schedule a meeting with the Fire Department and
Volunteer Kevin Oberlies to tour the equipment for the HAM radio and tour the
City's AM radio station.
Item 3: Next regular meeting date has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Item 4: The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
