Item 1: The meeting way.called to order at 5:08 p.m. by Chairman Tickner.
Item 2a: The meeting Agenda was approved.
Item 2b: The minutes for the August 21, 2018 special meeting were approved.
Item 2c: Continue CERT Organization
• . Discussion of bylaws: The Committee and resident volunteers revised the first
CERT bylaws draft. Items. to be addressed by next meeting scheduled for
October 2, 2018 _revisions from City Staff, City Attorney review, verify insurance
coverage for CERT volunteers, verify if background check/live scan will be
conducted by the.City, and if-the CERT Program will be subject.to the Brown Act.
• The City Council target meeting date is Tuesday, October 9, 2018. City Staff will
prepare documents for the meeting.
• Chairman Tickner stated the next step will be to focus on CERT training
activities, First Aid classes,CPR classes, and community outreach.
Item 2d: City of Grand Terrace 40th Anniversary Family Picnic and Car Show
• Committee Ramos and Resident Villasenor volunteered to assist with the CERT
outreach booth for this event.
• Resident Giroux will provide a CERT bag as a display for the event.
• Planner Aguirre will prepare the information packages.
Item 2e: Inventory Equipment and Materials
• The equipment inventory date us to be determined during the cooler months.
.The Fire Station/HAM radio site visit needs to be scheduled.

• Chairman Tickner will be meeting with the IT department to coordinate efforts on
how to stream the radio on the City website and how to live streaming in the
event of an emergency. Committee Parsons mentioned that Mr. Parsons used to
broadcast on the radio station; however, at the time Committee Pfennighausen
was the only one who knew how to broadcast live. Chairman Tickner
announced, he will be following up with Bill Baker for assistance with the live
streaming capabilities.
• Chairman Tickner and Committee Parsons posted a spot on the radio
announcing the Grand Terrace 40th Anniversary.Family Picnic and Car Show
day.
Item 3: Next regular meeting date scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
