An amendment to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of ’96 to require social media companies to remove materials which promote criminal activities. Opinion after opinion was offered; mostly opposing a platform requiring a petition to U.S. Congress to Amend Section 230 of the Decency Act. Case examples were presented but, in the end, the League was two (2) people short of the required quorum of 239. Only an advisory could be communicated regarding the perceived liability represented by an unamended Section 230 that of public expressions of hate speech and ideological biases as veiled attempts to instigating flash mobs through social media.
