Those also present were Ann Petta,Frances Carter, Masako Gifford,Shelly Rosenkild,Martina Boentaran,Martha Monteon and City Clerk,Debra L.Thomas. Susan Robles has moved out of the area and will not be part of our committee anymore. Susan's contribution to our committee is appreciated and she will be very much missed. I SECRETARY'S REPORT: The minutes for October 2,2017 were read and approved by Ann and seconded by Masako;all in favor. TREASURER'S REPORT: The budget shows a balance of$600.00 and a petty cash of$1,058.56. HISTORICAL REPORT: The Terrace Hills Middle School will be the organization to be honored this year at the City's Annual Birthday Potluck Dinner and they will be updating the glass display case in the lobby of City Hail until the end of November 2018. OLD BUSINESS: November 4,2017 - Country Fair- update The Master of Ceremonies for the Awards Program was City Mayor,Darcy McNaboe and Pauline presented the awards. Reimbursement from Masako to Pauline was$8.75 for doughnuts expense,Shelly$10.76 for balloons and$8.67 for cosmetic make-up expenses. Frances donated her purchase of ice. Masako's expense for Country fair was$42.30 which will be reimbursed from 220 account Bobbie Forbes contributed the materials for the posters and Martina made the posters and the lay-out for the parking lot area. Sandy Anderegg and Alice Hallwachs helped Frances with the food and baking contests. Shirley Hogue donated doughnuts and helped with the sale of food. Ann donated baskets and she and Martha made the arrangement of baskets with the comice pears donated by Loma Linda Market and with apples donated by Clark's Health Food Store. Susan made basket arrangements with donations received from businesses and she contributed with baskets and Avon products for the opportunity raffle prizes. We have no insurance expense because the event took place at G.T.Civic Center. Expense for news paper advertisement was$35.00 plus displayed posters was$123.39,which will be out of 220 account with no charge for the flyers. The City paid$225.00 for advertisement. Food sale income$333.50,opportunity raffle drawing$157.00 and Shelly's face painting$26.00. Total income$516.50. Frances handed copy of Release and Waiver of Liability forms signed by all participating Judges of the "Country Fair Chili-Cook-Off and Baking Contests",to City Clerk, Debra L.Thomas. NEW BUSINESS: 39th. City's Birthday Potluck-dinner - Wednesday, December 6,2017 - 6 to 8 p.m. Community Room at City Hall - RSVP requested The Terrace Hills Middle School will present their program at the Potluck dinner. Ann wrote a letter for the December 6,Potluck Dinner,to be advertised in the next edition of the Blue Mountain Out Look. Masako gave$100.00 cash advance to Shelly for purchase of balloons and decorations. Ann received $40.00 for ham purchase and Pauline$40.00 for food purchase. Frances will purchase ice, punch and water and will bring ice chest and card tables, Pauline will bring a card table and Shelly is in charge of decorations and will bring a rack for pies. Ann will ask for food donation to the new owners of what use to be"Pasta Italia Restaurant". City will provide the Birthday cake and coffee. Debra will look for the kitchen screens to see if they need paint touch-up,and she will coordinate the table setting with Ann and the maintenance workers.
