Minutes for May 2., 2016
The meeting was called to_ order at 6:05 P.M. by Chairperson Pauline
Grant. Those also present were Ann Petta, Masako Gifford, Shelly
Rosenkild, Martina Boentaran, Susan Robles, Martha Monteon and City
Clerk, Pat Jacquez Nares. Frances Carter was absent.
SECRETARY'S REPORT: The minutes for April 4, 2016 were read and ap-
proved with a motion by Shelly and seconded by Ann, all members in
favor.
TREASURER'S REPORT: The budget shows a total balance of $849.09 and
a petty cash of $309.26.
HISTORICAL REPORT: The Senior Citizens Complex has been updating
the glass display case, located in the City Hall lobby. Sarah
DeWeese will come to remove her display, so that the next Senior
group can feature their activities.
NEW BUSINESS: The 32nd. Annual Art Show - Sundayj May 1 , 2016
Ann reported that we had 31 artists who exibited their art work and
over seventy enthusiastic visitors attended and enjoyed the exhibits
and refreshments.
We lost some guests because the Library was closed on that day.
City Mayor, Darcy McNaboe and City Manager, ,Harold Duffey honored
us with their presence at the event.
We were not able to .use the raffle tickets as anticipated; instead
we had someone at each exit checking on the people who .took the art
work and it worked well.
Reimbursements: Frances ' expense for punch, water and ice was $17.94
Shelly's expense for balloons was $10.79, she will bring her bill
later.
We will be sending thank you notes to some of our volunteers for the
Art Show: Alice and Don Hallwachs, .Joe McIver, Bill Nessel and Joyce
Lester.
We already have some artists who would like to display their art in
public places.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 P.M.
