Those' also present were Ann*Petta, Masako Gifford, Martina Boentaran;. Susan Robles, Martha Monteon and City'Clerk, Pat Jacquez Nares. Frances Carter and Shelly Rosenkild were absent. SECRETARY'S REPORT: The minutes of September 9, 2015 were read and approved . on a motion by Ann and seconded by Masako, with all members in favor. TREASURER'S REPORT: The budget shows a total balance of $1 ,200.00 and a petty cash of $149.71. HISTORICAL REPORT: The Senior Citizens Complex accepted our invitation' to be ' the organization .to be honored this year at the City's Potluck Dinner. The Grand Terrace High School will continue the up-keep of the glass display case in the lobby of City Hall; until the Seniors take over at the end of No- vember. NEW BUSINESS: Update for Saturday, November 7th. - Country Fair. We have television .cable announcements on the'air. Pat printed 50' posters, and 11.0 fair applications with the- guidelines on the reverse side. Masako and Martha will distribute the posters to the businesses in the city, two weeks before the event. Ann will be calling people to remind them to submit their applications and will gather more vendors and baking and chili entries. Pauline has prepared the list of Judges and has purchased the red -and blue rib- bons for the chili cook-off"and the baking contests. Masako will buy the nece- ssary supplies. Martina will make the signs for the food and drink prices and will prepare other directional posters. Shelly is arranging Country Music entertainment. Susan and Shelly will contact local businesses, requesting items to be raffled. The Lions Club Community Center will open at 6:30 am. on the' Fair day. Masako and Jim Gifford will be there at 6:30 am. to mark'off Committee and Library re- served areas. Martina shared samples".of the cards that she was working on. The eoap.mdttee discussed the possibility of using the cards as a fund raiser as Martha sug- gested. Susan Robles has ,a friend who owns a print shop and she will investi- gate the cost.to print out the cards. The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 pm. Respectfully submittep, Martha Monteon, Secretary.
