Minutes for September 8, 2014
The meeting vans called to order at 6:10 PM by Chairperson Pauline Giant. Those also present
were Ann Petta,Masako Gifford, Frances Carter, Shelly Rosenkild Susan Robles,Martha
Monteon and City Administrative interim,Dina Mohammad. Martina Boentaran was absent.
SECRETARY'S REPORT: The minutes of June 2, 201"were read and approved on a motion
by Frances and seconded by Masako. Motion carried— all in favor. Shelly presented receipt for
additional photo prints from the Art Show,in the amount of$30.78 which will be submitted to
the City for reimbursement.
TREASURER'S REPORT: The budget shows a total balance of$1,200.00 and a petty cash of
$147.25.
HISTORICAL REPORT: Ann presented a receipt to Masako, for the purchase of mail stamps in
the amount of$4$.75,just for the record. The stamps were given to Martha to.keep with the
stationary supplies. Ann has been calling people for the Coun i y Fair.
Ann and Shelly contacted the Grand Terrace High School but no answer was received. With the
help of Council Woman Darcy MCNaboe,more than one response was received. The GT High
School has accepted our invitation to be the group to be honored this year at the City's Annual
Pot luck. They Gail] be featured in the glass display case in the lobby of City Hall.
Shelly prepared thank-you-letters for the A-it Show participants. She will mail the letters and
photos as soon as the letters are printed by the City wish their letterhead as usual_and Frances will
make the labels.
OLD BUSINESS: COUNTRY FAIR
On Saturday October 25"',
Shelly will prepare the posters and 50 copies will be printed for distribution; as well as 100
applications with the guidelines on the other side.
Cable advertisement on television should start as soon as possible.
Workshop: Shelly will call Martina and possibly another committee memIrmL to discuss and
make a new banner.
Pauline and Martha will distribute posters two weeks before the event.
Insurance cost for the Art Show is $428.00.
