➢The grant application window opens in January each year, with a start
date of October
➢For consideration, a Problem Statement must be drafted outlining the
need for funding based on collision data
➢Criteria includes, number of collisions, collision factors, fatalities, DUI’s,
ABC related contributing factors, alcohol retail sales sites, bars, etc

➢Requests that contain all necessary documentation will generally be
awarded funding to participate, regardless of collision stats
➢In the last three years, there has been no request for the city to be
included in the OTS Grant
➢In January 2022, Grand Terrace will be included in the request

COUNTYWIDE CRIME SUPPRESSION MONIES
Ongoing collaborative partnership between the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the San
Bernardino County Sheriff's Department
Provides additional funding to the Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement services related to quality -
of-life issues that affect the citizens in the County
The goal of the program is to provide additional resources to contract cities that will reduce crime and improve
the communities’ quality of life and overall safety
COUNTYWIDE CRIME SUPPRESSION MONIES
Three operations in the city with five deputies,one supervisor (sergeant or detective),and one dispatcher for 10-
hour shifts
All the personnel will be on overtime
Proactive patrol,homeless outreach,surveillance operations (narcotics,burglaries,catalytic converter thefts
etc.),traffic enforcement,park patrol,bicycle patrol,gang enforcement,ABC programs (undercover,shoulder tap,
decoy),crime sweeps,and programs targeting issues that affect the local jurisdiction
