Mayor Darcy McNaboeMayor Darcy McNaboe attended the Omnitrans Board of Director’s Meeting on March 2,
2022, and discussed the following:
• Update on Bus Stop Safety Improvement Implementation Plan
• FY 2023 Staffing and Compensation Comprehensive Review and Updates to
Policy 402
• Call for Public Hearing – Federal Transit Administration Section 5310 Funding
o Improving mobility, visibility, and response times at the San Bernardino
Transit Center
o Security Officers utilize T3 Patrollers to conduct patrols and enhance
customer service
o Develop positive community relations
• In response to the tight labor market, the Board approved service resumption
triggers
• Recruitment has opened for coach operators, administration, and maintenance
• Omnitrans was awarded $79,784.10 by San Bernardino Transportation Authority
as part of the FY 2021 Transportation Development Act (TDA), Article 3 Transit
Stop Access Program. This program allowed Omnitrans to receive funding to
improve bus stop amenities. Update provided on:
o Lighting
o Signs
o Benches
o Upgrading Shelters
o ADA Improvements
o Nine (9) Projects in the Geographic Area of Grand Terrace & Colton
Routes
Mayor Darcy McNaboe attended the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority
(SBCTA) Board of Director’s Meeting on March 2, 2022, and discussed the following:
• Discussion of In-Person and Virtual Board and Committee Meetings
o Acting as the SBCTA and COG have decided to go back to in -person
meetings
• Regional/Subregional Planning
o Affordable Housing Requirements Throughout the Region
o Putting together a framework on how a housing trust administered by San
Bernardino Council of Governments could be structed in SBC through the
Regional Early Action Planning 2.0 Program funding.
o Inviting City Managers to weight in on the discussion
Mayor McNaboe also attended the Opening Ceremonies of the Grand Terrace Little
League, Joseph McClelland’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor, and the 15 th Annual Blue
Mountain Hike.
